The outdoor antenna should be installed at a height of at least 2 meters above the roof or in a high, open location for optimal reception. While the device claims an outdoor range of 500m and an indoor range of 300m, actual performance may vary due to factors such as wall material, thickness, wireless transmit power, antenna gain, and working frequency band.

When it comes to firmware upgrades, it's generally advised not to upgrade unless you are experiencing a specific issue that the new firmware addresses. Unnecessary firmware updates can potentially introduce unexpected problems.
